T.B. Traffic Inc. is a privately owned and operated organization that was founded in 2008 and operates out of its head office location 25090 – 117 Avenue, Acheson Alberta.
We offer a wide range of services including maintenance and construction of new traffic signal construction, traffic signal designs and builds, maintenance and modification, signal networking / communication, LED replacements, vehicle detection, traffic signal upgrades, UPS installations, emergency services, new construction roadway lighting / design, roadway lighting maintenance and troubleshooting, non-destructive pole evaluations, LED conversions and pole replacement. We offer a turn key product which includes engineering and design of both signals and lighting.

Complete installation of a variety of traffic control devices and applications. We offer installation of complete signalized intersections to control traffic with designated signals for specialized applications such a designated left or right turn arrows or Transit signal actuation. We also install signalized pedestrian signal crossing as well as flashing amber pedestrian crossing in a variety of different styles. Our team of experts will do a complete installation of these devises including excavation and installation of conduit and wiring systems. We also provide installation of pre-cast or pour-in-place concrete bases including the finishing. Our technicians are well trained and experienced in electrical component installation including termination, installation and programming of traffic signal control devices.

Our signal technicians are unsurpassed with extensive knowledge of traffic systems. We provide a 24 hour on call emergency services where we can have technicians respond to any traffic signal related emergencies you may have. Ensuring quality service and a safely operating signal in a timely manner. We also provide preventative maintenance to signals to ensure that signals are running smooth and highlight any areas that may need upgrading or repairs and components that may be at the start of failing to help alleviate any emergency traffic signal issues. This includes the testing of the Malfunction Monitoring unit within the cabinet as well. We also do bulb changes, camera lens cleaning and power washes of the signals ensuring that detection zones are clear and that all lights are sharp and crisp looking.
We install cabling and devices allowing for networking and communication of intersection interconnection devices. This provides an overall more efficient traffic network within your area. Allowing for intersections to effectively communicate which leads to a much more fluid traffic system and reduce traffic back ups and high-volume traffic areas.
With technology advances traffic signals are becoming predominantly LED. T.B. Traffic Inc. is well equipped to upgrade your signals from incandescent to LED or to replace any older LED that may have burnt out or have had a portion of them burn out. This includes pedestrian inserts as well as traffic signals. Upgrading signals from incandescent to LED reduces the overall power required and is much more cost effective solution due to the reduced power consumption.
The installation and programming of a large variety of detection devices includes many types of video detection up to and including new Vision style cameras. In addition to this we have experienced technicians to complete the installation of other devices such as microwave detection and loop detection. We also provide maintenance and troubleshooting for all types of detection devices regardless of the manufacturer, model or style.
Signal upgrading is necessary in order to ensure that signals are operating as optimal as possible. This includes upgrading software within individual components, upgrading hardware, upgrading of systems from TS1 or TS2 environment and completed cabinet upgrades. We also complete intersection upgrades including all new poles and lights where a new intersection can be built around the old one to allow for minimal amount of time where the intersection does not have operational signals.
UPS systems are an excellent way to protect your intersection and the motoring public at times of a power outage. Signals would continue to run normally for an extended length of time after a power outage occurs and then under flashing operation for the length of time after that ensures the safety of the public. These signals will run on a back up battery system that can be installed and maintained by our technicians who will also troubleshoot any potential problems within these systems.
T.B. Traffic Inc. will install any of your Pre-Emption needs. This includes everything from railway pre-emption up to and including emergency vehicle pre-emption for emergency services such as police, fire and ambulance. This allows for the safety of the motoring public as well as for the ability to Emergency response personnel to respond quicker and more effectively.

Our technicians are highly trained and experienced in maintaining and troubleshooting lighting circuits. This includes lamp and/or ballast changes as well as changing fixtures along with the ability to troubleshoot and repair any circuit issues that may arise or exist within an area.
Many years of industry experience allow us to accurately assess the condition of a pole particularly in the event of a pole that has been knocked down from any type of incident. This allows for effective quoting and assessment of particular sites and makes repairs easier and most efficient.
With technology advances in lighting devices LED lighting is becoming much more common place. T.B. Traffic Inc. is well equipped to upgrade your existing roadway lighting to LED or to replace any LED lighting that my have burnt out or have had a portion of them burnt out. Over time, poles may need to be replaced due to damage that may result in rusting or that may have been knocked down or damaged due to vehicular accidents. T.B.
